Business Development & Marketing Coordinator
📍 Austin, Texas (Hybrid)

Sky Society is seeking a highly resourceful, results-driven, and entrepreneurial-minded candidate to drive new customer acquisition. This is a key role as the company enters its next stage of growth as a startup.
This position will be involved in a range of activities including business development, sales, content marketing, project management, and day-to-day operations. The target candidate is highly energetic, entrepreneurial, and has previous experience working in growth-stage startups.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a growth mindset who is excited by Sky Society’s mission of empowering the next generation of female marketing leaders.
The target candidate thinks and acts like a founder and wants to one day become a founder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnerships: Sourcing and establishing strategic partnerships for driving acquisition or enhancing member value
- Project Management: Lead execution of special projects and ensure they are completed on time and within scope
- Retention: Help oversee the development and implementation of new lifecycle campaigns & workflows to support member acquisition & engagement
- Sales: Oversee the admissions process for Sky Society Accelerator including leading application calls, conducting interviews and evaluating applicants.
- Operations: Assist with organization and coordination of daily operations including representing the CEO and Sky Society at meetings and other events as needed
- Community Building: Plan both virtual and in-person events as well as lead live workshops
- Content Creation: Oversee social media (TikTok, Instagram, & LinkedIn), SEO, email, website and gated content creation
- Innovation: Stay informed of marketing trends and social channel capabilities as they rapidly evolve. Be proactive in informing the team of social media trends and opportunities that directly support the Sky Society brand.
Qualifications:
- Based in Austin, Texas
- Strong interest in entrepreneurship and growth marketing
- Moves with a sense of urgency and comfort with managing deadlines
- 2+ years of work experience in sales, business development or marketing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate those around you
- Eye for design and highly skilled designing content in Canva
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong understanding of marketing industry and pop culture trends
- Confident public-speaker
- Proactive and creative problem-solver
- Deep understanding of Linkedin, TikTok & Instagram and experience creating content on each platform
- Passionate about women empowerment and Sky Society’s mission
